Self-Care and Wellness
Ever heard the saying, "Put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others"? It's a powerful reminder to prioritize self-care, which is too often overlooked. As parents, we often put our needs last, making this sacrifice out of love for our children. However, it’s difficult to take care of others if you haven’t first taken care of yourself. Just as you cannot pour from an empty cup, to truly give your family your best, you must show up as your best. This means prioritizing your self-care, ensuring you have the energy, health, and well-being to support and nurture your loved ones effectively.
For most of us, parenting is the most difficult (and wonderful) journey we will take in life. The highs are high, but the lows can be very low. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed and like your best isn’t good enough, which can make you feel isolated. The Oxygen Self-Care & Wellness program is a virtual community designed specifically for Black parents by Black parents and dedicated to letting you know that you are not alone. Through resources such as, virtual support groups, webinars, online chats and more, Oxygen Self-Care & Wellness supports Black parents by creating a safe haven for individuals to seek guidance and share experiences, while finding solace, camaraderie, and empowerment, breaking the cycle of isolation and fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity.
From bump to beyond, we are here to support you wherever you are on your parenting journey. Access to resources through the Oxygen Self-Care & Wellness program are offered exclusively to Black parents at no cost. Come join us and make our community stronger!

All virtual support groups offered by Kindred 360 are peer support groups, giving participants the opportunity to find comfort, support and encouragement amongst a community of their peers who may have similar lived experiences. The hosts of the virtual support groups are not licensed therapists or medical professionals. Nothing discussed during the virtual support groups should be taken as medical advice or used to diagnose or treat any condition or disease. Topics discussed during virtual support groups may trigger intense feelings. Participants are highly encouraged to seek treatment from a licensed therapist or other medical professional. If you are in severe distress or having thoughts of hurting yourself or others, please call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA.
Because healing is a journey and trauma does not have an expiration date, all virtual support groups are open to parents and caregivers regardless of how long it has been since their traumatic experience. If you are still healing, we are still here.
